If you live in Kovan, Serangoon North or Hougang, finding maths tuition in Kovan that is close to home saves your child hours of travel every month. Learning Voyage is a Maths and Science specialist centre at Blk 212 Hougang Street 21, a short walk from Kovan MRT. This guide explains what we offer at each level and how to pick the right class.
Why Choose Maths Tuition in Kovan?
Kovan is well connected by the North East Line and many bus services, so students from Hougang, Serangoon and Sengkang can reach a Kovan centre quickly after school. A short commute means more energy for learning and an easier routine for parents doing pick-ups.
But location is only part of the decision. A good maths centre should also offer:
- Small classes, so every student’s working gets checked.
- Tutors who specialise in maths rather than teaching every subject.
- A clear method for finding and fixing weak topics.
- Regular practice with exam-style questions.
Primary Maths and PSLE
Primary maths builds the foundations for everything that follows: fractions, ratio, percentage, geometry and problem sums. Our primary maths tuition covers P1–P6, with P5 and P6 classes on weekdays and weekends. For P6 students, our PSLE maths tuition guide explains how we prepare for Paper 1 and Paper 2.
E Math Tuition in Kovan
E Math (Elementary Mathematics) is compulsory for all secondary students and counts toward JC and polytechnic admission. Common weak spots include algebraic manipulation, trigonometry, graphs and statistics. Our E Math tuition runs for Sec 3 and Sec 4, with Sec 1 and Sec 2 maths classes to build the base early.
A Math Tuition in Kovan
A Math (Additional Mathematics) moves quickly into calculus, logarithms, trigonometric identities and proofs. Students who are only “okay” in E Math often find A Math overwhelming. Our A Math tuition focuses on understanding each technique and practising it until it becomes automatic. In 2025, 86% of our O-Level A Maths students achieved a distinction.
Not sure whether your child needs E Math, A Math or both? Read our O Level maths tuition guide.
JC and IP Maths
For J1 and J2 students, we run H2 Maths classes every Sunday. Visit our IP and JC maths tuition page for details.
Our Teaching Method: Plug the Gaps
Most maths difficulties start with a concept that was missed earlier. Our Plug-the-Gaps approach works in three steps:
- Identify the missing concepts using questions and the student’s working.
- Review and correct mistakes step by step, explaining the reasoning.
- Reinforce with practice that moves from easier examples to exam-level questions.
