I joined Mr Andy's math tuition in about January of 2018 where i was a sec 4 student at Chung Cheng high main and will be sitting for my olvls in 10 months. Eversince upper secondary, my math grades were really bad ranging from F9 to C6 for both amath and emath. Althought it was a solid 10 months till olvls, i did not have the right mentality to start practising. In addition, my momma had forced me to attend the tuition hence i wasnt very happy about it. Having remembered that, my attitude towards learning math was one of the worst in the class. I even lost my worksheet given by Mr Andy on my first lesson and did not complete my corrections. Up till mid year exam, i was still failing with a F9 for amath and a D7 for emath. So technically, i only had 5 months to get my desired grades. Although im the worst in class, Mr Andy was a very supportive tutor in my journey to excel in maths as he constantly encouraged me. These encouragement soon proved to be impactful as i begin to work very hard so as to not disappoint him. Lesson time was very efficient as he gives very clear explanation with detailed steps for my weak foundation in math. Mr Andy has put in a lot of effort to produce the right resources needed to tackle olvls math questions. With much practise under his guidance, my math grades steadily improved as i attained B3 and A1 for amath and emath respectively for my prelims. And went on to score A1 and A2 for amath and emath in the 2018 gce olvls. Overall, i couldnt be more thankful as i never thought i would actually enjoy doing math. And also acquiring the ability to think critically and strategise well.

Mr Andy is extremely patient with us whenever we have trouble with a question and always makes sure that we fully understand the concept before moving on. He also bring up interesting and difficult questions in class so that we get exposed to such questions, and this is super helpful in case they appear in exam papers! He never fails to encourage us and provides us with more than enough guidance by being only a text away whenever we need help. This tuition centre was recommended by me from my Cousin and she told me that he was a very good math teacher. For me my math was very bad and I was not doing well at all. After barely passing my secondary 2 math exam, I signed up, thinking that it was just another tuition. I hated math at that time. The teacher, Mr Andy is very patient with students and always makes sure they learn from their mistakes. The learning format is different in that although it is the setting of a class, everyone is learning at their own pace which I find is easier for learning and what differs Learning Voyage from other tuition centres. Joined in secondary 4 and thought it was too late to save my grades for math because i was constantly either failing or boarderline passing. However, Mr Andy's teaching made both math and amath fun. I first enrolled in Learning Voyage at Secondary 1 as I’ve been failing math since primary school. The failure has made me disliked the subject the most. Although it’s a group tuition, Mr. Andy caters to the needs of every student in the class. A year before my national exams, I got a private home tutor as I thought it would be more beneficial for me. However, I found myself going back to Learning Voyage a month after. During the lesson, if any one of us encounter a complicated question, Mr. Andy will discuss it with the class. This has made us more flexible when answering questions. In addition, we are more exposed to various question types. With Mr. Andy’s guidance, I got a grade 2 in my N(A) Levels. Hi Mr Andy! Thank you so much (really) for tutoring me 🙂 I’m the type that cannot pay attention in class especially if the lessons are monotonous. Hence as you can tell, I didn’t focus during maths class in sec 1 (it was so bad I tell you). Since I wasn’t paying attention during class time, my maths grades have always been either a fail or just pass. However when I started tuition under Mr Andy, my grades has improved A LOT. A few reasons are because his lessons are interactive, he goes through the syllabus thoroughly, BUT the main reason is because he is very encouraging. (ง •̀_•́)ง Mr Andy has been pushing me and encouraging me each time as I attend his tuition. Whenever I make a mistake in doing the questions (and it’s mostly careless haha), his first reaction is: “aiyoooooh Junnnnnnn” and he would stare at me something like => щ(ಠ益ಠщ), but he never fails to say: “jiayou Jun you can do it!” and does this action => (ง •̀_•́)ง Although these are just simple gestures that he does often and that you might not realize but this shows his encouragement for his students that he wants them to do their best, and his dedication to be there and guide us 😀 So yes please do be tutored under mr Andy if you ever need help!
